Choosing a General Contractor
The vast number of construction jobs is handled by general contractors. The general contractor agrees to get full responsibility for the project and deliver the final result. The GC hires the team, gets in touch with the subcontractors, procures the materials and coordinates everything to get complete project. As the scope of work of the GC is huge, make sure you hire a reliable person that can respond to your needs.
Leaving everything to one person is not an easy thing but it has its good and bad sides. One of the good things is that the GC will be responsible for the entire project and they will take the burden off your shoulders. However, the bad thing is that you won’t have full control over the project and in case the GC is not doing a good job it might take a while before you notice that things are not going well. Whatever you decide to do, think carefully and do a background check to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
